It is steamed deeply and has little bitterness and lots of sweetness. The depth of flavor also changes depending on the temperature of the water.
Since 1982, Happi Mukojimaen has been cultivating tea without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers, and was the first tea producer in Japan to receive organic certification. In addition, every year, all tea lots are tested for residual pesticides on over 400 items.
Tea plants are generally propagated by cuttings. The cultivation method used to grow tea plants organically without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers is called "single-stem cultivation." In order to grow tea plants as close as possible to the method used for growing tea plants from seed, the cuttings are started as small as possible, with only one leaf and one node, and the spacing between the plants is increased to reduce the planting density and create thick trunks. The trunks are more than 10 times thicker than those of normal tea plants.
This tea can be safely consumed by everyone from babies to the elderly.
