This kelp grows on the coasts of Rebun Island, Rishiri Island, and Wakkanai. It produces a clean, refined dashi with no strong flavor . It is slightly saltier than true kelp and is the most popular kelp in Kyoto.

[How to use]
Wipe off any dirt on the surface, cut the kelp into bite-sized pieces, place in water and boil over medium heat. If you remove the kelp immediately after it comes to a boil, you will have a refined soup stock.
