We have been selling Aki Iriko (dried anchovies) from Ondo, Hiroshima since our founding. Dried anchovies from Ondo, Hiroshima. Most of the anchovies are about 5cm to 8cm in size. Anchovies raised with the bounty of the Seto Inland Sea have soft flesh and a mild flavor. You can eat the whole thing, from head to tail.

We made sardines from anchovies caught in the calm and abundantly food-rich Seto Inland Sea (Akinada, Hiroshima Prefecture). The Seto Inland Sea is a traditional fishing ground for anchovies, and is the land where delicious sardines were cultivated.

The slight saltiness will irresistibly stimulate your appetite. This blue fish is garnering attention because it is rich in calcium, docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA/IPA), inosinic acid, and more, in addition to being high-quality protein.

No additives such as antioxidants or chemical seasonings are used. (Seawater salt from the process of making sardines is included.)

The majority of the fish are slightly larger anchovies, measuring 5cm to 8cm.

The anchovies that live in the calm waters of the Seto Inland Sea are also called "shirokuchi" (white mouth), and have soft flesh and a mild flavor.

It can be used as a basic stock for a wide range of dishes, such as miso soup, simmered dishes, and noodle soups. It can also be used as an ingredient in small sardine tempura, or powdered into homemade natural furikake, and can be eaten as is, rather than just making stock.
