Rich sweetness and subtle sourness
This is 65g of dried Kent mangoes from Burkina Faso, West Africa. Kent mangoes are less sour than Brook mangoes and have a sweet, fruity taste. They are harvested about one month earlier than Brook mangoes. The mangoes used are only those grown without chemical fertilizers or pesticides, and are dried without additives such as bleach or syrup, preserving the original flavor of the mango. They are shaped like frits (strips) that are satisfying to eat. One piece is roughly equivalent to 1/6 of a mango. They are characterized by their distinctive sweetness, which is unique to Kent mangoes. (The taste may vary slightly depending on the harvest time. Please note that each one is a natural product and will have a different taste.) Also, if you soak them in milk or yogurt for a while, they will become like fresh mangoes, so you can use them as an ingredient in desserts, dishes, and cakes.
In West Africa, naturally grown (untouched by human intervention) mango trees all bear fruit at once from April to July. The surplus mangoes are processed into dried mangoes, which are then sold with added value, resulting in efficient use of resources and increased cash income. This product is delivered by a producers' association in Burkina Faso.

African Table
Eating African food is the exact opposite of the idea of local production for local consumption. By eating crops that grow in a natural environment and soil completely different from Japan, and by eating hardy crops that seem to have been grown with almost no effort, you can enjoy flavors you've never tasted before and expect high nutritional value. Also, by thinking about the culture that is rooted there, the natural environment that surrounds it, and the lives of the people, and experiencing a part of it, your own life will also be colored. In a sense, the act of eating is more intense than going to the local area and touring the tourist spots.
